About this course
This foundation degree (levels 4 and 5), which is awarded by the University of Cumbria and taught at Bury College University Centre, is aimed at people wanting to work with children, young people and families. It covers a wide range of issues affecting children and families in today’s society. Each of the modules provides a secure grounding in issues for all professionals working in multi-agency contexts with children and their carers. The course offers you the opportunity to continue studying at a higher level, whilst broadening your knowledge and understanding gained at Level 3, or through your previous experience. Your placement is an integral part of the course and allows you to experience real work environments whilst gaining valuable knowledge and skills.
