UniversityDB is an open-data directory of UK university courses, academics, and research. Our goal is to make higher education information more accessible, searchable, and useful — for prospective students, researchers, and anyone curious about UK academia.

Our data is sourced from publicly available datasets published by UK higher education bodies:

• UCAS — undergraduate course listings
• HESA — higher education statistics
• REF 2021 — research excellence framework results
• UKRI GtR — gateway to research funding data
• OpenAlex — open academic graph
