About this course

War. Some say it’s the single most important social activity humans have ever carried out. Others say it’s politics by other means. Whatever your view, war has shaped our geography and humanity.

This established war and politics course focuses on the relationship between the theory of warfare and how it’s applied in the real world. You’ll focus on the most important events and debates in British politics and security, covering land, sea and air warfare.

Study with prize-winning academics with extensive military and policy experience, eager to help you explore what interests you about the intersection of war and politics.
