About this course

Delivered as part of a partnership between Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Edge Hill University, this taught Masters degree provides a comprehensive overview of caring for patients with urological conditions in a range of different working environments.

You will gain expertise in all major areas of urological care. Developing the ability to plan and implement basic interventions for a range of urological conditions, you will also gain first-hand experience of interpreting a variety of clinical data, pathology results and diagnostic investigations.

A variety of optional modules provide the opportunity to tailor your studies to gain expert knowledge of subspecialities within urology which are most relevant to your own area(s) of interest or employment.

The course will encourage more autonomous practice and address workforce opportunities and challenges within contemporary urology services. You will graduate as a reflective practitioner, ready to influence and shape local services and improve the delivery of care to patients. The specialist knowledge you develop will enhance your employability and ensure you are well placed to apply for specialist urological positions, including leadership and management roles.
