About this course

Teaching and learning This practice-focused, applied course will begin with the theoretical and applied principles of language acquisition and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). You’ll work towards applying your knowledge in practice, experiencing real-life EAL settings.

The course places EAL teaching within a rapidly changing, globalised socio-cultural context. You’ll study heritage language learning and the sociological aspects of global Englishes, including issues such as social justice and inclusion.

You’ll be taught by experienced tutors with expertise in multilingual language acquisition, working with migrants, materials development, and digital pedagogy.
