About this course

This programme provides a unique opportunity for students to engage with the management of productive (food producing) systems across the terrestrial and aquatic environment. It is aimed at home and international students with a focus on sustainable practice in food production. The programme combines training in environmental land management and in aquaculture and fisheries, in the context of technological advances. It offers the opportunity to undertake extended research projects collaboratively with commercial partners and researchers based within the university’s flagship Earth and Marine Institutes. Our graduates will be well positioned for employment in the high-tech food industry, as food and land systems managers and advisors, and with government and regulatory bodies, both in the UK and overseas. They will be ready to deliver solutions for future food security challenges with reduced environmental impacts.
