Sports Coaching, Education and Development Top Up

Lincoln College University Centre
Undergraduate BSc (Hons) Full-time 1 Year Sport and exercise science

About this course

The BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching, Education and Development (Top-Up) programme aims to develop students' knowledge and skills in the domains of sports coaching, sports development and education - enabling graduates to be capable of operating in a wide range of coaching and education environments, utilising critical reflection skills to ensure continuous development within their practice.

The course provides the opportunity for students that have completed a Foundation Degree/HND, preferably in Sports Coaching, to progress onto the final year of a BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching, Education and Development degree.

Hands-On Experience At Lincoln College University Centre, we provide students with real-life coaching experiences in authentic environments. Working closely with a local primary school, students are responsible for planning and delivering fundamental movement skills-based PE lessons that help children to become physically literate, whilst providing them with positive experiences that help keep them physically active for life.

More importantly, these experiences allow students to develop their practical teaching and coaching skills, creating stronger connections between theory and practice that will help them to better understand the roles of PE teachers and sports coaches.
