About this course
This foundation course is designed for applicants who do not meet the admissions criteria for the BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation degree. You’ll start by completing a foundation year, which provides well-structured support. Following successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress with confidence to the first year of the BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation degree.
Become qualified in the field of sport rehabilitation. The BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation is a vocational, hands on course that offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and expertise in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating sports and physical activity-related injuries. Graduate Sport Rehabilitators are trained in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries expertise that is essential across all sports, and all levels from amateur to elite.

Career prospects Upon completion of this course you will be eligible to become a registered member of BASRaT (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers). Sports rehabilitators work in areas such as professional sport, primary musculoskeletal care, military and corporate environments.
Successful completion of the undergraduate programme opens up the world of further postgraduate study such as Strength and Conditioning, Sport Sciences or research in the form of MRes/PhD study.
