The purpose of the BTEC Higher National Diploma in Sport is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the Sport sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications aim to widen access to higher education and enhance career prospects in the sports industry. Students will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self study, directed study and workplace scenarios.

HND Sport - Bromley Football Club Pathway

Whilst studying the BTEC National Diploma in Sport students will have the opportunity to combine theoretical study with professional training sessions, providing them with the chance to train and play at the Bromley FC stadium, home of the professional development squad (u23s). As part of the coaching development programme students will play in the competitive suburban league and play regular fixtures against respective English Football League and Premier League teams. Students will have the opportunity to train daily and play competitive football supported by UEFA qualified coaches. The coaching development programme provides a springboard for talented young players to join Bromley Football Club’s 1st team squad and develop a career both on and off the field.
