Our BSc Real Estate degree gives you an understanding of the breadth and depth of the property sector and allows you to make specialist choices later in the course.

Real Estate and Planning at the University of Reading ranks 1st in the UK for Land and Property Management (Complete University Guide, 2024). Our staff are world leaders in their fields and you can expect to be taught by internationally renowned experts, with a wealth of academic and professional experience.

In the first two foundation years you will build a strong understanding of the core subject areas of economics, finance, business management, planning, building, law and valuation which you can then apply to complex problems in the real world. In year three, you will develop a deeper understanding in a specialist area, such as development and planning, investment or valuation. You can also tailor your degree by choosing from a range of elective modules including housing or rural options.
