About this course
This course prepares practitioners to work in defined areas of community public health practice, for registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Health Visitor.Specialist Community Public Health Nurses lead and deliver public health services for children, young people and families in the community Develop the skills to assess the health needs of individuals, families, and communities within diverse and changing contexts, to enhance health and wellbeing You’ll be exposed to the breadth and depth of public health working and demonstrate your ability to participate safely in the practice of Health Visiting The course is offered in partnership with 0-19 years Public Health service providers, with theory learning at BU and practice learning supported by a practice supervisor and practice assessors There is also a school nursing pathway available.
