Public Health Promotion
Anglia Ruskin UniversityAbout this course
To make a positive contribution and impact to the way public health promotions, interventions and services are delivered across a variety of roles within statutory, voluntary, and independent sector organisations, we must consider the wider determinants of health and wellbeing.
This course is ideal for anyone working or wanting to work in areas that improve population health and health promotion. You could come from fields in Health and Social Care, Sport and Exercise Science, Nursing/Midwifery, and Public Health.
Although public health is often seen as theoretical, there will be a strong emphasis placed on the application of knowledge to various population groups and as the course progresses it aims to prepare you for the next stage in your career.
The course has been designed with input from key service providers, service users and other stakeholders, to provide an authentic and contemporary reflection of the current professional environment. There will be opportunities to focus on specialist areas of interest within public health when you plan, research and write your final project.
