This foundation course is designed for applicants who do not meet the admissions criteria for the BSc Psychology (Honors) degree. You’ll start by completing a foundation year, which provides well-structured support. Following successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress with confidence to the first year of the Psychology degree.
Psychology is the science of the mind, behaviour, experiences and relationships. The importance of psychological expertise is recognised across all walks of life and aspects of human functioning. A core focus of this course is on developing graduates who have the ability to interpret and apply a broad range of relevant theory and scientific evidence to understand the complex interactions that take place in the mind and between people. Students will explore a diverse range of psychological disciplines including cognitive, behavioural and ecological approaches; and also gain experience in emerging areas including cyberpsychology and cognitive neuroscience.
