City’s brand-new MA has been developed with leading industry figures to give you all the tools you need to succeed in this fast-growing sector. The MA in Podcasting is a hands-on course. You will learn how to craft compelling podcasts and develop the skills to publish your product, find and build an audience, and carve out a career.
You will learn a combination of technical skills in audio and video production, social media, branding and marketing along with the business skills you will need to target audiences, develop a brand and run your own independent business.
The course draws on the reputation of City Journalism with training in Law and Ethics, we will work in partnership with our new Centre of Podcast Excellence and in specialist podcast studios.
We have strong links with industry, which enables us to bring in guest speakers and tutors (for example with the BBC, Global, Bauer, Crowd Network, NPR, Spotify, The Athletic, Times Radio, The Telegraph, The MediaStorm Podcast).
