OVERVIEW Whether it’s helping patients recover from surgery, sports injuries, accidents and strokes or supporting people with disabilities and long-term illness, the role of a physiotherapist cannot be underestimated. Our Physiotherapy degree will give you the empowering skills to kick-start your career in this rewarding, science-led field.

Gaining a strong foundation of anatomical knowledge, you will learn how to diagnose and rehabilitate across a range of conditions, as well as how to prevent illness and disease and apply your wealth of knowledge to complex situations. You will gain substantial practical experience honing your physiotherapy skills through work placements in a range of real-life environments. This hands-on education is not only essential for the course, but enables you to experience the dynamic areas where a physiotherapist may work. Plus you will have access to some of the most cutting-edge training facilities in the country, including our purpose-built simulation suite and strength and conditioning suite.

Crucially, upon successful graduation, you should be eligible to apply for registration for the title of Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), opening up a wide range of career possibilities for you within a whole host of dynamic health and social settings.

This purpose-built facility includes a six-bed replica hospital ward and a simulated community care environment, closely replicating real-life settings you may encounter in your future career.

    In addition, our purpose-built Human Performance Centre and Laboratory features the latest equipment and technology to support strength and conditioning.

    PLACEMENTS Our course requires you to accrue 1,000 hours of practice-based learning activities by the end of your degree.
