About this course

Are you a creative practitioner, looking to build a solid technical and theoretical foundation in the field of contemporary photography? Maybe you’re looking to expand your academic experience? Do both with our Photography HNC.

Explore a range of different genres such as portraiture, environment, still life, and documentary practice, whilst generating an extended portfolio. Base yourself largely in your home region, with two short practical residentials held at UHI North, West and Hebrides (Broadford). Take advantage of specialist printing facilities and participate in our portfolio presentation module, with opportunities to present your work to the public. You will need access to photographic equipment and computer facilities with editing software, plus sufficient studio space for practical work.
