The units of study reflect the latest technology innovations and current employment opportunities within the computing and digital industry. A nationally recognised Level 4 computing qualification, the HNC is ideal for those who have started or are planning to move into, a career in the computing industry, or who wish to progress onto a degree programme. The course also aims to develop skills such as communication literacy, critical thinking, analysis, reasoning, and interpretation, which are crucial for gaining employment and developing academic competence.

This course is an HTQ, the latest industry-focussed Level 4 and 5 qualifications developed by awarding bodies in collaboration with employers and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).
