About the European School of Osteopathy (ESO)

The European School of Osteopathy (ESO) is partnered with the University of Plymouth. The ESO has an international reputation for academic and research excellence in Osteopathy. Known for the support we provide to students and for the quality of our teaching, ESO students receive a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology and nutrition, as well as developing osteopathic techniques. This three- year full-time degree provides students with 1000 hours of clinical experience whilst also developing key business skills and research experience, enabling our graduates to work in established clinics or to build their own practice or to work for the NHS. ESO graduates have pursued successful careers working with athletes, corporate consultancy, university-level teaching, work with animals and medical research. We are noted for our warm and friendly atmosphere. The supportive atmosphere between students and staff is exceptional, providing a close-knit support network for all.

ESO offers the perfect place to train to be an Osteopath, with our established on-site teaching clinic. Situated in Maidstone, the county town of Kent, and just an hour from London by train. Beautiful countryside and miles of coastline are also just on the doorstep and the campus is located a few minutes walk from Maidstone's buzzing town centre.

About the course

Our BSc (Hons) Osteopathic Medicine program is a unique comprehensive 3-year course designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for a career in osteopathy.

With 1000 clinical hours integrated into the curriculum, you’ll gain extensive hands-on experience in our on-site teaching clinic. This practical training is complemented by rigorous academic coursework, ensuring a well-rounded education. This condensed programme allows students to graduate sooner while receiving a world-class education

Throughout the program, you’ll learn to apply osteopathic principles to diagnose and manage a variety of conditions, promoting overall health and well-being for your patients. Our expert faculty provide an ideal learning environment, fostering both personal and professional growth. Learning is through problem-based learning and case-based scenarios with a hybrid model of teaching using both online and face-to-face methods.

The course is currently undergoing the approval process with the University of Plymouth and will undergo an RQ process in February 2025.
