About this course
Adult nursing is one of several specialisms in our BSc (Honours) Nursing. This unique practice-based qualification is ideal if you're aspiring to become a registered nurse, whether you're already in a healthcare role or new to the sector. If employed in healthcare, you can study while you work, provided your employer supports this and suitable practice is arranged. For those new to the sector and living in England, pathways are available through partnerships with Oxford University Hospitals and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trusts. Successful completion of the degree makes you eligible to apply for registration as a qualified nurse (Adult) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).Delivers a balance of theory and practice through practice-based and distance learning. Develops effective evidence-based nursing practice and underpinning knowledge in an inter-professional and interdisciplinary environment. Confers eligibility to enter the NMC professional register on successful attainment of the degree. Can allow you to continue to work part time for your employer whilst studying to become a nurse.
