About this course
Why choose this course?
Our programme places the patient at the centre of care delivery. You will grow into a nurse who can assess and manage the changing and complex needs of individuals, at what could be one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Adult nurses care for individuals with diverse healthcare needs. From empowering patients with long-term conditions to working in a fast-paced clinical setting to support patients with acute illness, nurses can have a critical influence on patient outcomes. Our curriculum is designed to provide you with the theoretical knowledge required to be able to practice confidently and competently. It also gives you the opportunity to develop and refine your clinical skills in a safe and controlled setting before going onto clinical placement.
*About Keele * Keele University was established in 1949 by the former Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University. Founded to meet the needs of a changing world, Keele has always had a pioneering vision to be a different kind of university.
We excel in both teaching and research, with some of the most satisfied students in England, and research that is changing lives for the better at a regional, national and global level.
Our beautiful 600-acre campus is one of the biggest in Britain – but all the most important services and facilities are on your doorstep, with accommodation, teaching spaces, facilities including a medical centre, sports centre and pharmacy, and a range of shops, eateries and entertainment venues – including the Students’ Union – clustered around the centre.
