About this course

As a healthcare professional, this course provides a valuable multidisciplinary opportunity for continuing professional development. You will engage in five compulsory modules that will deepen your understanding of the theory of nuclear medicine imaging and develop practical skills necessary for competent practice in complex and challenging situations.

The course adopts a blended learning approach, combining online lectures, tutorials, and workshops through our virtual learning environment (BlackBoard) with traditional in-person teaching at the University. This hybrid model supports flexible learning while allowing for essential face-to-face interaction, fostering a sense of community and peer support.

Before starting the course, you must secure a UK-based clinical placement and commit to a minimum of three days per week in clinical practice, excluding annual leave and university weeks.

This CPD course is approved by the Society of Radiographers, and the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM).
