About this course

OVERVIEW The Modern Methods of Construction Higher National Certificate has a comprehensive curriculum to prepare you for success as a site or project manager in the construction industry. Crucially, you will develop your professional skills in project design, technology, environmental sustainability and digital applications.

Beginning with construction design project management, you will become proficient in construction drawing and computer-aided design (CAD), enabling you to analyse scenarios and produce innovative design proposals. Later units cover construction technology, emphasising resource efficiency and environmental sustainability, while addressing tendering, procurement and project management fundamentals.

The curriculum also focuses on digital applications for Building Information Modelling (BIM), highlighting its role in enhancing project efficiency, reducing costs and promoting sustainability.
