These in turn have had a substantial impact on our knowledge of the underlying basis of human health and disease. Recent advances in cutting edge technologies such as gene editing by CRISPR and single-cells omics have revolutionized the landscape of drug discovery and cancer research. Their potential use raise various social, ethical, and legal challenges. Society requires graduates who understand the scope and limitations of this knowledge and techniques and who are able to effectively communicate with others.
