Media and Communications Level 6 Top-Up

Our Media and Communications degree is a dynamic and constantly evolving course that will suit anyone interested in being part of the creative industries. What you'll study The curriculum is organised around unifying blocks. In each semester you can focus on developing your craft and critical skills on a specific theme/format, without feeling dispersed among many unrelated assessments. The course features two customisable pathways - halfway through your studies, you have the opportunity to choose either the Media Production strand or the Media Studies strand. Real industry work experience is guaranteed. Whatever the pathway you choose, there is a minimum of 40 hours of industry work placement, facilitated by the school's Placements team. To ensure a top-notch learning experience, you have access to industry-standard studios, facilities and equipment (that you can book out!) to develop your projects. You can learn from a diverse group of established media practitioners and researchers in the field of Media and Communications. Our campus is located in the heart of London’s media centre, close to two tube stations in the beautiful borough of Ealing.

Level-6 Top-up Option The Level 6 top-up pathway takes the existing structure of the BA (Hons) Media and Communication Level 6 and enhances it by creating a practically focused pathway that acts as a top-up degree. This is designed to appeal to and support students who have not studied our existing Level 4 and Level 5 but who have a strong interest in using media tools to create practical work. A further differentiator from the existing Level 6, is that international aspects of media will be emphasised in the theoretical modules (Research Project).
