"Mathematicians are in demand in business and finance. Their skills are used to develop techniques from forecasting changes in stock and commodity markets to supporting financial products such as stock options and futures. You’ll graduate with a strong background in finance and strong quantitative skills. The course provides a firm foundation in the main areas of mathematics, such as algebra, calculus and differential equations. It also develops the area of statistics and its importance in finance and gives a grounding in micro and macroeconomics.
