About this course
A unique 5-year model enables students to study the foundations of legal knowledge during years 1 and 2 in line with other LLB degrees in the sector. However, in year 3 students will study a SQE1 prep course alongside optional modules that will enable them to specialize in their chosen field (i.e. Corporate Law, High Street Practice, etc) and to sit the Stage 1 of the SRA’s centralized examination at that time. Year 4 will be a placement year and Year 5 then provide students who have successfully completed SQE1 with the opportunity to continue their studies by undertaking the SQE2 prep course alongside Masters level modules. This provides students with the opportunity to enhance their legal knowledge and to sit SQE2.
Students are also offered the opportunity to work in the School’s Law Clinic which may contribute to the 2 years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) required by the SRA for a student to to qualify as a solicitor in England & Wales.
