About this course

The practice of law (or the use of legal knowledge and skills in other professional roles) hinges on the use and communication of information. Given the fast developments of various forms of artificial intelligence, understanding AI is going to be an important skill for future law graduates. Some say that lawyers will not be replaced by AI, but lawyers who know about AI will replace those that do not.

This qualifying law degree programme will provide the context on the use of AI, at each step in the process of gathering information, from collecting, processing, visualising, using and communicating data. As such, this route will equip graduates with the broad legal knowledge and skills of a law degree but also with a focus on the specific additional features in the area of the development of AI, putting the degree in that future focussed context.
