About this course

LLB (Hons) Law is compliant with the QAA subject benchmark for Law. All our Law degrees and enable students to proceed to the next stage of training to qualify as a Barrister or Solicitor. The LLB includes the foundation legal subjects which meet the requirements of the Academic Component of becoming a Barrister. LLB (Hons) Law is an advantageous route that students follow if they plan to enter the legal profession. It offers innovative, exciting challenges and provides opportunities to enter a wide range of law-related roles. From the opportunity to take part in mock trials to student conferences, the unique feature of this award is its student-centred, problem-based approach to learning. You’ll be offered a supportive, guided environment to practise skills for careers in the legal sector and to create awareness of the roles of law and lawyers in society. The hallmark of this course is that in addition to Semesters 1 and 2, students engage in accelerated learning during the summer months, in order to complete their studies in a shorter time than the standard degree course. The two-year accelerated course is particularly attractive to applicants with relevant work or industry experience. On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: LLB (Hons) Law.
