About this course
This course is for anyone who wishes to gain an understanding of legal education in the United Kingdom. It combines both compulsory and optional modules, allowing you to choose your route and specialist area of study whilst gaining a qualifying law degree.
Regardless of the route you take, you will be assessed on the skills, attributes and competencies relevant to your chosen field of study.
Route A: Practical Legal Studies
Enhance your employability by developing practical skills required for the practice of law. This route provides you with a step up to various training programmes and qualifications, including the Solicitors Qualifying examination, the Legal Practice course, the CILEX Professional qualification and the Bar Practice Training course.
Route B: Law and Criminal Studies
This route of study is designed for those wanting an alternative career outside of the traditional legal qualification routes, including civil service, policing and the probation service. You will further your knowledge and understanding of victimology; working with vulnerable people; policing and social control; the psychology of crime; and working with offending behaviour.
