Philosophy is as much the study of what constitutes a ‘good’ or ‘valid’ argument as it is the application of thought to specific problems.

Language lies at the heart of human interaction and is a defining human trait that sets us apart from all other species. Linguistics teaches us how to analyse, discuss and model this singularly human attribute. In studying Linguistics you will understand yourself and human societies more fully.
