Studying Italian at UCL you will experience innovative teaching in every area of study. Knowledge of Russian gives you direct access to a fascinating cultural and historical tradition, helps you understand the evolution of Russian philosophical and ideological trends, and brings you closer to one of the world’s most dynamic geopolitical regions. We are one of the largest Russian departments in the UK and studying this language at SSEES (UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies) cultivates a high proficiency in Russian language and develops your skills in analysis, presentation, problem-solving and intercultural understanding.
