About the course This course aims to provide the travel and tourism student with a comprehensive and flexible framework for education and training in line with professional accreditation requirements, which would facilitate safe practice within both the travel and tourism sectors.

Where will it take me? The HNC in International Travel and Tourism Management qualifies students to move directly to employment and work within the travel and tourism and hospitality industry. Students that successfully complete the HNC and HND programmes traditionally progress to one of the following areas:
Related Degree Programmes- Students have the option to progress onto the HND programme which also is offered at SERC (depending on application numbers).
This course also provides students with extensive opportunities for further study of a top up degree, at higher level, studying at some of these UK universities, The University of Central Lancashire, based in Preston, Liverpool John Moores and University of Ulster.
Entry can range from Year 1, 2 or final year entry depending on grades achieved and individual university entrance criteria set per year.
Employment- This Higher National programme has been designed to equip students with the knowledge required to thrive in the changing world of work. Roles may include, but are not limited to: • Event Planning - Organise and coordinate all aspects of events, from concept and budgeting to logistics and execution, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for clients and attendees. • Travel Management - Overseeing and coordinating all aspects of business travel, including itinerary planning, vendor negotiation, cost control, and ensuring a smooth travel experience for employees or clients. • Destination Marketing - Promoting a specific location to attract visitors, enhance brand awareness, and boost local tourism through strategic campaigns and partnerships.
