About this course

The MSc International Security and Risk Management course aims to provide students with the opportunity to examine, in depth, contemporary global risk and security issues and challenges. Students will examine fundamental security issues, risks and threats focusing on: • Terrorism and Counter-terrorism; • Political Violence; • Intelligence Operations and Challenges; • The Geopolitical Environment; • Cyber Security and Warfare; • Risk Management; • Transnational Organised Crime and Threats to National Infrastructure; • European Security and other emerging security threats from countries worldwide

Students will learn and understand the fundamental causes of much of the unrest in the world today and how they manifest themselves on an international, national and local level.
