About this course

Graphic design plays a significant role not only in the way we present text and images but also in the way that we understand and navigate through space. At the same time, it provides much of the aesthetic character used to enhance spatial experiences through the design of forms and patterns deployed on both 2D surfaces and 3D objects.

Learning from industry professionals across graphic design, interaction design, and spatial design, students will explore the range of ways in which we use graphic design to enhance our experiences within interiors online and their application to surfaces and objects.

As students progress through the course, building self-confidence and a deeper understanding of graphic and spatial design, they will explore how design is a tool of social change and ethical innovation, challenging our understanding of how we define, express and explore our physical and virtual realities.
