About this course

The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science (progression year) provides the opportunity for students to continue their studies to Level 6, providing in-depth knowledge of forensic science skills and practices and further develop transferable scientific skills. This exciting and dynamic programme provides you with the opportunities to further develop your existing knowledge of forensic science skills and practices, through the practical application of advanced knowledge and skills, acquiring the attributes required by employers in forensic laboratories and scientific support services. You will study a range of exciting and contemporary modules which will develop your forensic science-specific skills, attributes and competencies.

Whist this is a full-time course, typically this course generally only requires one-two days on campus attendance, supported by self-directed study. This means you can continue to work alongside your studies and balance other commitments. Upon graduating you may gain employment as a forensic scientist, analytical chemist, crime scene investigator, detectives, scientific laboratory technician or toxicologist.

This programme is not open to students requiring a Student visa to study in the UK.
