About this course
This course aims to provide you with a solid grounding which could enable you to pursue diverse careers including those in fraud management, digital forensics, social media and other investigatory roles.
The foundation year aims to provide a thorough understanding of legal principles and best practice. With a focus on European, national and local contexts, this programme explores the development of legislation with core academic skills. Students who successfully complete their foundation year will then progress onto the Forensic Investigations BSc (Hons) degree within Coventry University’s School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences.
The degree years involve understanding forensic analysis and investigative techniques, including the interpretation and presentation of evidence. There is a valuable element of laboratory work and our course touches upon a huge range of forensic science and investigative techniques. We focus on providing a practical experience, using real-life case studies and scenarios, work placements, industry visits and skills development, as well as traditional academic approaches.
