Our Course Our one-year MA in Filmmaking is ideal for students aiming to build a career in filmmaking while learning to contextualise their creative choices through critical thinking.

Our distinctive approach to film education provides hands-on practical teaching from industry professionals across six key filmmaking disciplines: directing, producing, editing, screenwriting, cinematography, and sound. By working in multiple roles, graduates emerge from LFA as well-rounded filmmakers, well-prepared to excel in their chosen field while remaining adaptable in a collaborative industry.     Course Fees The total fee for the course is £23,500 for 2025 entry. This is inclusive of film production budgets and there are no hidden additional costs.

    Deposit Successful applicants will be issued with an offer letter. Upon acceptance of their place, applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of £4,500 in order to secure their place on the course.

    Term and Conditions of Offer
 The deposit is due by the date stated on the London Film Academy (LFA) offer letter and forms part of the LFA Terms and Conditions - https://londonfilmacademy.com/LFATermsConditions.pdf. The balance of course fees will need to be paid in accordance to the LFA Terms and Conditions and in line with the dates stated in the offer letter. Please note that failure to adhere to these terms may lead to your place being revoked. If your place has been revoked on any course, you will be notified of this in writing and you and the LFA shall have no further obligations to each other under these terms and conditions or otherwise.

As a partner student you will be granted access to the University’s online learning environment ‘University of Derby Online (UDo)’ where you will be able to access programme resources related to your programme, the University’s library and your grades
