About this course
You'll analyse writing from early poetry to the present day novel, and learn how to view films with a critical eye across genres including film noir, horror, science fiction, documentary and animation. You can also look at literature and films in new contexts, including performance, music, science, philosophy and more.
Our digital humanities facilities will allow you to study and research through cutting-edge technology, such as virtual reality, 3D scanners and printers, and a 360 degree fully immersive audio-visual centre.
You’ll also benefit from our connections with Chawton House Library and Nuffield Southampton Theatres, giving you access to a collection of rare books and opportunities to join writing workshops
