About this course

BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Content Creation aims to prepare Fashion Marketing, PR and Communication professionals capable to understand and navigate the rapidly changing communicational landscape.

Discussing both online and offline spaces, the course explores how to generate creative content, and explore ideas that captures the interest of consumers, and drives brands to develop, implement and monitor meaningful communication strategies.

What can you expect?

  • Cross-course teaching and collaboration: Building on the standardised marketing unit, this course runs alongside BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Consumer Behaviour, with a shared year one curriculum, presenting opportunities for cross-course teaching and student collaboration.

  • Variety of course specialisms: Course specialisms and emphasis on the creative side of content creation will emerge during year two. Looking at content ideation and creation, research and analysis of market trends and consumer drivers, and the planning and execution of integrated marketing communications, considering brand strategy, activities and audiences.

  • Flexible and personalised study: A variety of topics and assessment types allows students to personalise their learning.

  • Technical workshops: Technical workshops, including InDesign and Photoshop, Language Development and Academic Support are available to students to support their academic development.

  • Cultural and Historical Studies: The LCF Cultural and Historical Studies contribution, exploring fashion’s cultural, social and business impact through ground-breaking research, is integral to this course.

    Industry experience and opportunities

    You will be given the opportunity to undertake either

  • an optional industry (DiPS) or enterprise (EDiPS) placement year between the second and final year of the course earning an additional Diploma in Professional Studies

  • study of a UAL Creative Computing Institute Diploma earning an enhanced degree title.

    These options will enhance your employability by offering valuable experience and contacts within the industry or a possibility to explore different interfaces and learn more about apps development and be introduced to emerging areas such as machine learning.
