About this course

At Chester Business School we bring studying Events Management to life with inspiring and real experiences, interactive learning, access and exposure to the industry, and an opportunity to develop and manage your own events. This means that we develop outstanding, career ready, events professionals.

Volunteering is an important element of your course that will help you to really stand out when you enter the industry. We offer an exciting and diverse range of volunteering opportunities such as Chester Christmas parades, regional and national sporting events, music festivals and cultural events.

We will equip you with much more than events management subject knowledge. We will help you develop the extra skills that employers are seeking. The world of events management is highly competitive, diverse and dynamic, but you will leave us with experiences that will give you an edge at interview and in the workplace. We work closely with the Association of Events Management Educators (AEME) and with key stakeholders in the events industry to ensure content is up to date, industry relevant, and embeds key events management skills throughout the course.

Foundation Year courses have been designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications needed to enter directly into the first year of a degree but who have the ability and commitment to do so. Once the Foundation Year has been completed successfully, you can then go on to complete your degree.
