About this course
This degree is designed to immerse students in the organisation of events and festivals management and the audience experiences within these arenas. Event industry specialists have developed the course and teach it, and you’ll work directly with directly with venues, artists and audiences and other industry partners, as you develop your skills.
Employability is woven through the course and is evidenced in the overall philosophical course aims, in the approach to teaching and learning, as well as being underpinned by co-curriculum activities, where students will gain transferable skills which add value to future employment and enterprising ventures.
Professional placements form part of your core teaching, equipping you to be adaptable, resilient, globally minded, confident, entrepreneurial, and digitally savvy.
This course includes a Professional Practice Year, where you’ll spend two years studying your degree, before putting what you’ve learned into practice as part of a year-long work placement. You'll then return for your final year of study, where you'll be able to apply what you've learned.
