How you will learn

On your Entrepreneurship modules you’ll learn through methods such as:

  • formal lectures which will at times include expert speakers

  • seminars: these can be tutor-led or student-led and can include discussions, critical analysis of reading, presentations, group work, debates and general problem solving, interaction with real businesses, case study analysis, computer lab work, practical analysis and formative assessment

  • tutorials: one-to-one sessions with a tutor to discuss the development of assignments

  • work experience projects

  • self-directed study.

On your Marketing modules you’ll learn through methods such as:

  • lectures and seminars — led by our own tutors as well as occasionally, by guest speakers from the marketing world

  • individual and group-based practical assignments, such as creating advertising slogans, blogs, infographics, social media profiles, videos and TV commercials.

  • working with organisations to solve real-world challenges

  • visits to companies and museums

  • placements and internships

  • research projects.

    Opportunities and experiences

You can choose to put your skills into practice before you graduate with an optional placement year between year two and three of your degree. We can help you to find a placement and provide support throughout your year away. If that's not for you, you can choose to complete internships during the summer breaks instead, so you’ll graduate with experience on your CV.

Industry links are embedded on your course to get you working on real business issues before you graduate. You will have the opportunity to work with organisations and employers, engaging in projects such as public relations and marketing campaigns and coming up with enterprising solutions for business issues.

    Careers and employability

Marketing and Entrepreneurship graduates will be well placed for a range of graduate roles in areas such as digital marketing, marketing agencies, management, business systems, consultancy, sales and many more.
