About this course

The purpose of this module is to develop the academic and clinical requirements for the nurse or other allied health professional working in either an Emergency Department, Minor Injury Unit or other pre-hospital environment. The pathway will enable students to develop graduate, lifelong learning skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and the use of evidence based practice to enhance current professional and academic skills; this in turn will develop transferable skills which will enhance their employability.

The pathway has been designed and based on the Royal College of Emergency Care competency document.
