The curriculum includes four core modules: Research, Planning & Communications, Strategy & Management, Machine Learning and its Application, and Digital Engineering, along with a 60-credit individual research project. You can choose between two option sets: Applied AI or Design and Manufacturing.
Option set one in Applied Artificial Intelligence for Engineering focuses on developing new intelligent systems by building on AI and machine learning concepts. You'll explore technologies behind systems like AlphaZero, Siri, and Alexa, and learn to analyse and create future technologies.
Option set two in Design and Manufacturing emphasises technical expertise in Computer Aided Manufacturing and Product Design Engineering. You'll learn to create, test, and optimise designs for real-world applications. This option also covers advanced digital technologies, AI-driven solutions, and topics like Advanced Rapid Prototyping and Digital Engineering, providing practical experience in state-of-the-art design and production techniques.
This two-year degree with Industrial Practice is an innovative combination of theory and practice.
