About this course
Get future ready Diagnostics is changing in the UK with different demographics, aging populations and diverse needs. The future of radiographers is in integrated multidisciplinary teams focused on local clinics, where a range of services can be spread across departments. Being a diagnostic radiographer is more than learning how to use a certain piece of equipment. We developed this course specifically to help you practice in the modern healthcare environment, based on our extensive experience within professional radiography practice.
Recognised qualification Every aspect of our course is designed to improve your skills as a professional, with insights driven by experience working in the radiography sector. We have designed our course around the frameworks and best practices published by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the College of Radiographers (COR). The purpose of this course is to ensure you meet the standards and expectations set out by these bodies, with additional knowledge to provide excellent service. On completion of this course you will be eligible to apply for registration as a diagnostic radiographer with the HCPC.
Cutting edge facilities This is a relatively new course for BNU, and we have invested significant funding into our radiography facilities as we have identified a real demand for qualified radiographers, we have a state of the art fully digital imaging suite with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This means that the equipment you will be using is at the cutting edge of radiographic imaging and together with attending practice placement, the course provides you with a real-world practice experience. When you leave BNU you will be well prepared to work with any diagnostic radiography equipment that you are expected to use.

You may choose to progress as part of your career development in diagnostic radiography by considering opportunities in research or teaching.
