The overall aim of the Clinical Care and Management in Diabetes programme is to equip health professionals, with advanced applied skills in formulating diabetes care to improve patient outcomes. The programme is delivered via an interactive online learning process that will enable students to acquire advanced practice skills in the assessment and management of diabetes. The emphasis throughout the programme is on learning as a means to improve care outcomes for people living with diabetes and in the prevention and management of diabetes complications. The programme is suitable for health professionals from a variety of disciplines particularly those in primary care settings (GPs, practice nurses, pharmacists, dietitians and podiatrists) or those working in specialist or intermediate diabetes settings.
