About this course
The MSc in Dental Implantology programme at the University of Salford, developed in partnership with the ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute and Hospital, provides hands-on supervised learning in a highly technical clinical setting. This course is designed for dental practitioners with a GDC registrable dental degree and at least two years of post-qualification experience in hospital or general dental practice within the UK.
You will:
- Develop core knowledge, skills, and clinical competencies to assess, manage, and treat patients with tooth loss to a high standard, efficiently and safely.
- Gain the ability to evaluate and demonstrate evidence-based practice.
- Acquire knowledge and a critical awareness of current issues in the field of Dentistry.

- MSc: 180 postgraduate credits, including the Dissertation module.
The programme is jointly run by ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute & Hospital and the University of Salford. ICE features fully equipped teaching clinics and an operating theatre with a live AV link to the lecture theatre for live surgery, providing a rich environment for hands-on supervised clinical study.
