About this course
This professional dance training programme is designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and creative ability to gain and maintain a lasting career as a professional contemporary dancer.
Your training will be holistic, enabling you to be adept across a range of dance genres. You will develop the essential practical thinking skills to be a creative professional dancer who will thrive in rehearsals and performances. You will also develop the resilience to become a freelance artist and practitioner.
You will understand the reality of the profession because you will be immersed in it throughout your training. You will develop a portfolio of professional work supported by dance agencies, companies, agents, casting directors, directors and choreographers, and you will work in a range of venues, including the Howden Park Theatre. Everything you learn will have an industry focus.
Your programme has a clear structure, so that each year you progress towards becoming a dancer.
