Support from our industry partners: BMET is working closely with industry partners such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) who provide our learners with free additional learning materials enhancing their knowledge of cloud computing, mapping this to in-demand IT jobs. BMET students gain:

opportunities to earn digital badges for completing courses access to console and sandbox environments for lab activities access to the AWS Educate job board to become more proficient in cloud in areas like software development or cyber security

Additional AWS certification: Upon successful completion of the Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC), you will be suitably prepared to attempt the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam, with a recommendation that you will have six months of fundamental AWS Cloud and industry knowledge before taking the exam.

Lessons and lectures are underpinned by tutorial support and seminar presentations, assignments, individual study, group discussion, projects and Interactive Learning Technologies (ILT).

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for Cyber Security and Cloud Networking is 32 UCAS Tariff points. Acceptable qualifications include a minimum of one A Level or an equivalent Level 3 qualification, preferably gained in a digital IT related industry. Minimum of four GCSE’s at grade C/4 or above

Mature applicants with other qualifications or non-formal qualifications are welcome to apply. If you are over 21 years of age, you will be assessed on an individual basis and may be asked to complete a short task to demonstrate the required level of knowledge to meet the demands of the course.

All applicants are required to attend an interview with the course tutors, where course requirements and current skills will be discussed and explored to ascertain suitability.
