About this course
The course is designed for those who’d like to develop a career as a cyber security professional, or to take a leading technical or managerial role. It’s suitable for those from a computer science or information technology education background. The programme is also able to cater for those with no formal studies in computer science – but where you can demonstrate significant interest in cyber security.
By having GDPR in action, there’ll be more roles in companies for Information Security Managers, which makes the MSc Cyber Security a brilliant opportunity for a huge market need.
Study style You’ll be assessed through coursework, essays and case studies. There are four modules in semester one delivered on weekly basis consisting of lectures, tutorials and seminars. We always try to fit these four modules into two consecutive days of delivery, giving you the opportunity to study at home or on campus for the rest of the time as you prefer.
Semester two follows the same pattern, with four modules delivered in two consecutive days for 12 weeks. Three modules out of four in semester two are optional, meaning that you can choose your preferred topics and design your speciality in Cyber Security.
